Nothing of note

Well last month I shifted my cycle as I have a holiday coming up and wanted to make sure my period was well and truly over before then. My experience therefore has been very positive as the ED Pill has done it's job to regulate my cycle and flow.
When starting this blog I anticipated a lot of difficulty coming of Depo, as what I had read were mostly horror stories. So my recommendation would not be to let your body simply go into withdrawal by going off and wait for whatever to happen, happen, but to go to a more recommended way of regulating your hormones and cycle. I do still think however that the reaction I had in the beginning was a withdrawal symptom as my hormones bottomed out before rebalancing at the new level set by the Pill.
My next challenge I guess will be seeing how, if at all, my fertility has been affected.
But that won't be for a little while longer just yet.
Beyond that, as I didn't have any problems with Depo to begin with, I would consider it an option in the future if they haven't got anything better on offer.

Doctor's visit

Well finally I went, and he has no idea why it has been the way it has. Since then I've had no hives, but also because I am going away on holiday in April I figured out that I would be due for my period then and have decided to reset it by skipping my last week of sugar pills. So this means in about a week when this time comes around again I will learn if the hives begin again and as a result it will probably become associated with progesterone withdrawal.
He did attribute my first unruly period with my hormones resetting themselves, but did anticipate that as the Pill starts dominating my functions then this should be resolved.
The hives however he had never heard of a H2 blocked being used in conjunction with a H1, but when I explained that H1 blockers resolved the itching, but H2 blocker intake appeared to result in the hives disappearing he has sent me off for an allergy test. He explained that blockers relate to the receptors and the receptors usually communicate a message to the immediate related area, so skin to skin for example. By intestinal track to skin is less likely as normally you would see intestinal upsets such as reflux or diarrhoea, but that saying if I experienced relief it was worth investigating.
The new allergy tests are quite interesting as in the first case they simply take a blood sample and test allergic reactions in a lab. Apparently they now only progress to skin prick tests when the identified allergen is not one of the standard twenty but response needs to be tested. Not sure exactly as I wasn't really interested.
But now to find out the results.
